- Adults aged 18 years old and over, who identifies with an LGBTQI+ identity and who has personal experience of living with a mental health difficulty
Description
This group is for people who have lived experience of mental health issues and who identify as LGBTQI+. This group is facilitated by a Collective Advocacy worker but the agenda and actions of the group are participant-led.
Research has shown that many LGBTQI+ people struggle with their mental health and have additional barriers to accessing services and support. Collective Advocacy provides a space for people from these communities to come together and talk about their experiences in order to take action to improve services, dismantle stigma and raise awareness.
This group will help to raise the voices of LGBTQI+ people when talking about their experiences of living with mental health difficulties, provide a safe space to meet like-minded people and share ideas.
