Description
Family Service:
Our Family service is specifically designed to support children and young people who have experienced child or sibling sexual abuse/behaviour or who have displayed problematic or harmful sexual behaviour. The support utilises a family wide approach, providing bespoke interventions for parents, carers and wider family systems. Our direct supports for children and young people within this service are as follows:
- Supporting children, young people and families affected by sibling & child sexual abuse
- Providing assessments (AIM3 & AIM under 12s) and interventions for children and young people who have displayed problematic or harmful sexual behaviour
- Providing interventions and supports for children and young people affected by sexual violence
- Providing restorative interventions for children, young people and families affected by sibling sexual abuse & behaviour
- Training and consultation for professionals and practitioners
Restorative Service:
Our restorative service supports victims, survivors and families or loved ones in engaging in a dialog with a person, organisation or institution responsible for harm. This service supports victim/survivors requests to engage in a restorative process if safe and appropriate. The team will support the initial discussion with all parties and support a restorative process based on the victim or survivors goals or requests. This can be facilitated via direct meetings, indirect (where a facilitator will use shuttle dialog between parties), letter writing or other alternatives based on a victim/survivors need. This service ranges across harms indexes including sexual harm or abuse, homicide and hate crime. We do not exclude any index harm however we may recommend alternative approaches in relation to risk.
