Availability : South West

Who is this for?

Our 11am Family Capoeira sessions are designed for young children aged below 5 and their parents, carers or other family members; the 12noon session is for families with children over 5 years old.
Children take part together with an accompanying adult, and no previous Capoeira or fitness experience is needed. Sessions are playful, relaxed and suitable for families who would like to enjoy movement and music together.
Families with additional support or accessibility needs are welcome to contact us so we can discuss how best to support their participation.

Description

Our Family Capoeira sessions are playful, inclusive classes for young children and their parents, carers or other family members, led by experienced Axé Boom Boom instructors.
The sessions introduce families to Capoeira through movement, music, rhythm, games and simple partner activities. Children and adults take part together, creating an opportunity to be active, have fun and learn new skills as a family.
The aim of the sessions is to support physical and emotional wellbeing, strengthen family relationships and encourage positive experiences of movement from an early age. Activities help children develop balance, coordination, confidence, listening and social skills, while giving adults an enjoyable way to be active alongside their children.
The sessions are relaxed, welcoming and designed to create connection, shared enjoyment and a sense of community.
