People with dementia and their carers.

Description

This dementia friendly drop-in centre in Ocean Terminal is open 7 days a week for people with dementia and their carers. It offers support and signposting to other services, as well as regular reminiscence sessions and home visits.

The Wee Museum of Memory creates podcasts of people’s memories and celebrate their lives through exhibitions and books.

Volunteers are trained in reminiscence skills from all backgrounds and ages, seeking to bring older people together to combat feelings of loneliness and isolation and help them to reconnect with the wider community.

Opening times

Open Mondays – Fridays from 10.30 am  – 4 pm and on Saturday and Sunday from 11 – 4pm.

In addition we offer formal reminiscence sessions on Tuesdays 1pm and Thursdays 11am.
