Who is this for?
- Families with a least one child in the home
Description
Volunteering Matters matches local volunteers with families facing a range of life challenges.
Volunteers can help empower you to overcome these difficulties and enable you to lead your life independently. This service can help build your confidence in making positive decisions around your health, finances, children’s education and more.
The Volunteers Supporting Families service helps you create your own action plan based on your referral information. A Volunteering Matters volunteer will then spend at least 1 hour every week with you and your family for 6-9 months. This time will be spent achieving your set of goals, feeding back to social services or other referrers on your progress.
Volunteering Matters has a diverse team of volunteers who bring with them a wealth of different life experiences and skills, from students with academic knowledge eager to get into the helping profession to those with years of life experiences professionally and personally. All volunteers have something to offer, are fully trained and PVG checked, and ready to start helping you in line with Covid-19 government guidelines.
