Description
The Together Outdoors programme provides opportunities for people to get active outdoors, meet others, engage with nature, learn something new, and do something positive for the natural world.
There are three options for getting involved:
Garden Buddying
A weekly 1:1 session with a trained volunteer (buddy) at the garden, getting involved in gardening activities, light exercise, and crafts.
This is a 12-week programme, 2 hours a week on Wednesday afternoons (1.00 pm – 3.00pm).
Outdoor Activity Group
A weekly session in a small group (up to 6 people), getting involved in practical conservation activity focusing on increasing biodiversity in the hospital woodlands and orchard. Get to know other people and learn new skills in a relaxed and supportive environment.
This is a 6-week programme, 2 hours a week on Monday mornings (10.00 am – 12.00pm).
Taster Sessions
Not sure what you are interested in? Or not sure about making a commitment? Come along for up to four taster sessions. Have a go at gardening, conservation, crafts and mindfulness. The tasters will be in small groups (up to 4 people). There will be an opportunity to continue with one of the longer programmes following these sessions.
This is a 4-week taster programme, 2 hours a week on Thursday mornings (10.00 am – 12.00 pm) or afternoons (1.00 pm – 3.00 pm).
