Who is this for?

  • People in active recovery

Description

The Sorted Project provides access to stable and quality recovery reintegration, motivation and life skills for people who have experienced ill health due to substance use and associated mental health difficulties.

The Sorted Project aims to prevent exclusion from the world of work, education, volunteering and training by assisting with reintegration and improving motivation and life skills.

On the pathway of recovery, The Sorted Project can work with you at the post-treatment and stable stage. Support is available through peer support, where engagement is with a participant, volunteer or sessional worker with lived experience of recovery.

Sorted provides a range of sessions and workshops which focus on various aspects of recovery. This includes motivation, self-esteem, confidence, action planning and meaningful vocational opportunities. Sorted provides this service on an outreach basis delivering work at the heart of a thriving community of voluntary and statutory agencies in the Lothian regions working to support you in recovery.

Contact is tailored to suit your needs. Sorted is able to provide remote support through telephone, text, email, messenger, messenger video, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams.

A unique aspect of the support Sorted provides takes place onboard a canal boat on the Union Canal. It is a modern and spacious multi-purpose wide beam canal boat named Panacea. You can learn to crew the boat, become qualified with the Royal Yachting Association and develop a wide range of confidence based transferable skills.
