Description
The Climate Psychology Alliance (CPA) provide emotional and psychological support for people affected by concerns about climate change and the ecological crisis, including counselling.
We recognise that feelings such as anxiety, grief, fear, anger, helplessness and uncertainty are common responses and offers safe spaces to explore these emotions.
Support available through the CPA includes:
Climate Cafés and Listening Circles where people can share their thoughts and feelings about climate change in a supportive, non-judgemental environment
Free one-to-one therapeutic support for individuals experiencing eco-distress or climate-related anxiety, delivered by trained therapists
Group support sessions and parent circles that help people connect with others facing similar concerns and build resilience together
Support for young people, including workshops, peer support spaces and opportunities to discuss climate concerns with others of a similar age
Resources, research and learning opportunities that help individuals understand the emotional and psychological impacts of the climate crisis and develop healthy coping strategies
