Description
The Student Counselling Service is free and available to all matriculated QMU students. It offers short-term confidential one-to-one counselling, normally six to eight sessions, for help with emotional, social and psychological difficulties which may emerge from any situation, experience and issue in your life, past and present. The service also offers signposting, self-help resources and bibliotherapy.

- accessible by public transport – bus, (Lothian Buses numbers 4, 30, 106 and the 46 and 48 stop close by), train (just a very short journey from Edinburgh Waverley)– and also bicycle (National Cycle Route 1 runs from Waverley Station to the campus; there are also many quiet roads in the Musselburgh area which would allow for safe cycling).

Opening times
Appointments are available 9.15am – 5pm Monday – Friday throughout the calendar year and last up to fifty minutes. They are delivered in-person, via telephone or Microsoft Teams. We can offer sessions between 5 and 7pm via telephone or Microsoft Teams subject to availability (primarily for students on placement).
