Description
Springboard is an employability and personal development programme for young people aged 16–25 in Edinburgh, with a particular focus on those who have experienced or are at risk of homelessness.
The programme offers up to 12 months of one-to-one support, tailored to each individual’s needs, goals and circumstances.
Each participant is supported by a dedicated Project Lead who helps them:
- Set and achieve personal goals
- Build confidence and self-esteem
- Develop a strong CV
- Apply for jobs, training and college
- Access volunteering and work placements
- Gain vocational skills and qualifications
The programme is flexible, person-centred, and designed to reduce barriers and promote long-term engagement with positive destinations.

Participants can self-refer onto the programme or be referred by another organisation. Those who would like to refer can email greigs@foursquare.org.uk and ask for a referral form.
Is there a cost?
There is no cost for participation.

- Regular Lothian Bus services near or directly to Head Office (Edinburgh Furniture Initiative) on Gorgie Road – Services 1, 2, 3, 25, 30, 33, and 38.
- Tram service – alight at Bankhead then 10-minute walk.
Opening times
The programme offers 1-1 support for a period of 12 months. Normal working hours are Monday-Friday 9-5pm however these hours are flexible and individual client meetings can be made out with those hours if necessary.
