Description
Simpson House offers support to anyone in Edinburgh who has been affected by past or present drug use, whether it’s your own or someone else’s. The Staff at Simpson House are experienced in supporting people affected by trauma.
Simpson House has two groups that offer a safe, confidential space for you to talk about your experiences and support one another in reducing isolation and increasing tools for managing life.
Group 1
A Life Worth Living – for people who are learning to survive but also want a life worth living.
Thursdays, 10.15 am – 12.30 pm
Group 2
Managing Anxiety using Self-Compassion – six-week course designed to help you learn more about anxiety and find coping tools to build confidence and resilience.
Tuesdays, 10.45 am – 12.30 pm
A counsellor will work with you at a pace you feel comfortable with. They are trained in a variety of counselling approaches. Simpson House offers an open-ended (no fixed amount of sessions) to all clients.
As a BACP Accredited Service we are bound by its Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy, the Ethical Guidelines for Researching Counselling and Psychotherapy and subject to the Professional Conduct Procedure.

Is there a cost?
This is a donation-based service if you are a resident of Edinburgh and affected by their own or someone else’s drug use.
There is also a fast track service at £45 per session.
