Who provides this?
Simpson House offers support to anyone in Edinburgh who has been affected by past or present drug use, whether it’s your own or someone else’s. The Staff at Simpson House are experienced in supporting people affected by trauma.
Counselling offers a space for you to explore your thoughts and feelings on issues relating to your own or someone else’s drug use. This may be looking at the way your life is affected by drug use or it could be exploring past experiences which led to drug use.
Counsellors at Simpson House regularly work with difficulties such as:
- abuse (emotional, sexual, physical)
A counsellor will work with you at a pace you feel comfortable with. They are trained in a variety of counselling approaches. Simpson House offers an open-ended (no fixed amount of sessions) to all clients.
As a British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) Accredited service, CrossReach is bound by its Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy, the Ethical Guidelines for Researching Counselling and Psychotherapy and subject to the Professional Conduct Procedure.
