Community meals (Leith Police Box)

Availability : Edinburgh Wide

Who is this for?

It’s open to all – no questions asked.

Description

Community meals at Leith Walk Police Box.  A regular (about once a month) drop in for healthy food and a chat.

We provide a simple hot meal and drinks with a place to sit and chat with others and staff/volunteers.  Or just enjoy your own space!

We want to foster community spirit, combat isolation and loneliness.

If you want to take your food away, please bring a clean container so that we can reduce our single use packaging waste.

Check our website for details of our next meal: www.leithwalkpolicebox.com/events

How do I access this?

  • Self referral

Can you help us? We are always looking for support from volunteers to help on the night who enjoy meeting people, collect the food from local businesses or financial donations to help keep this event going.

Location information

As it’s in an accessible, open space it enables those to take part who might face barriers to entering a building such as wheelchair users and large family groups.

Opening times

Usually on a Monday  between 5-7 pm.  All our events are weather permitting and also depends on the availability of volunteers. Check our website www.leithwalkpolicebox.com or Facebook @leithwalkpolicebox for updates.
