Description

‘Room for Art’ is a social prescribing project run by Art in Healthcare, providing visual arts workshops on a weekly basis to adults in communities across Edinburgh, with the aim of improving health and wellbeing.

‘Room for Art’ workshops are free and delivered by a professional visual artist. The sessions are tailored to the interests of the group and participants are encouraged to explore and experiment with different art techniques, such as painting, drawing, collage, printmaking, ceramics, sculpture and jewellery making.

Our participants are referred by their GPs, Link Workers, other third sector organisations and also by self referral.

Participants may have experience of mental health issues, physical disabilities, loneliness, isolation or have long term health issues.
