Description
Rainbow Recovery was established by the wife of an alcoholic who identified that there were very little supports for families suffering from another person’s addiction. Particularly none where you could bring along a young child who you don’t have a babysitter for.
The goal is to share experiences, listen to others and help guide each other through the bad times as well as sharing the hope gained from the more positive times.
Rainbow Recovery volunteers have their own lived experience and are Community Reinforcement and Family Training (CRAFT) practitioners who use the guidelines of CRAFT to help to guide the group. CRAFT is a method that is used to help to establish healthy boundaries and encourages you to look at your own behaviours, because nobody can change anyone else, only themselves.
The group is informal, group led and always welcoming to anyone who wishes to join. Tea and coffee is also on offer!
Rainbow Recovery run an online meeting via Microsoft Teams on Wednesday from 12.00 pm – 1.00 pm.
