Description
Being a parent is a hugely rewarding role – but it can also be a challenging one. Whether you are a mum, dad, step-parent or grandparent, raising children can be the greatest joy in the world, but it’s not the easiest of jobs.
Parenting Matters is a 16-hour course, tailored to meet the needs of today’s parents. On the course, Parent Network Scotland will work with you to look at the issues that are important to you. Together, you will explore strategies and approaches that can be used in the real world when parenting. All of the facilitators are parents themselves and have been on the Parenting Matters course. Parent Network Scotland believes that the best people to help parents are other parents. The facilitators will give you the opportunity to share these skills, and learn from each other in a more focused way. If you do the Parenting Matters course, you will also have the opportunity to become a Licensed Parenting Matters Facilitator or undergo training and support to run a parent support group in your local community.
