Who is this for?
For children and young people aged 25 or under, and parents whose baby or child has died or is expected to die before their 26th birthday
Description
Child Bereavement UK supports grieving children and young people (up to 25), and parents bereaved of a child to find hope.
Through free expert guidance, resources, and compassionate support, Child Bereavement UK helps people to rebuild their lives, in their own time. Support is available if you’re 25 or under, or if your baby or child has died or is expected to die before their 26th birthday.
However you feel, your feelings are valid. There’s no right or wrong way to feel when you’re grieving, and no timeline or manual to follow. You might feel angry, guilty, relieved, numb or all of those things at once. You might feel ok one day and devastated the next. Grief looks different for everyone and whatever it looks like to you is ok. We can explore whatever it is you are feeling together and find ways to cope.
We also have a dedicated online space for grieving teenagers and young adults (age 13 to 25) called Talk Grief https://www.talkgrief.org/. Here you can learn from other young grieving people, find healthy ways to cope and feel less alone. You’ll find out what it’s really like to live with grief from teenagers and young adults, along with advice and tips on managing your grief from our bereavement experts.
