Description

Milan SWO provide support for older people, unpaid carers and people with disabilities or mental health difficulties from South Asian communities. We are dedicated to meeting their social, cultural, recreational, language, and care needs.

Our services include:

    • Unpaid carer support
      A diverse programme of activities including walking groups, exercise, arts and crafts, educational workshops, one-to-one support and more.

    • Befriending and outreach
      Home visits to keep people connected within their communities in times of ill health, bereavements and for those recently discharged from hospital. We receive referrals from health and social care, word of mouth as well as community and self -referrals.

  • Information and advice
    Confidential information and advice service in community languages to anyone over 50 years and unpaid carers on money, housing, travel, benefits and more.
