Description
CAP is starting a new Life Skills programme on Thursday 13 June 2024. It will run for six consecutive weeks to 18 July, with each session from 5pm to 7pm, at Mustard Seed Edinburgh, St Margaret’s Church, 170 Easter Road, EH7 5QE.
We are all feeling the effects of inflation, energy prices and the cost of living crisis but for those on low incomes this is a particularly challenging and difficult time. So over the six weeks we will be looking at these topics
– Money
o Ways to reduce spending and to save money
o How to budget your money
o Tips for shopping on a budget
o Tips for saving energy in your home
– Organisation
- Planning your meals
- Putting together a shopping list
- Sticking to a shopping list
- Avoiding supermarket traps
– Health and wellbeing
o Ways to eat more healthily
o Your mental wellbeing
o Your self-worth
An evening meal is included that is healthy, nutritious and inexpensive, with recipes to be provided and, as always, the course and the dinner are entirely free and open to anyone who wants to come along.
