Who is this for?
The workshop is for anyone aged 18+ and supporting a loved one with an eating disorder (excluding ARFID). This could be parents, grandparents, siblings, friends or partner. You can join one of our workshops if your loved one: Is aged 18 or above, is displaying signs of a possible eating disorder (formal diagnosis is not required), has had their eating disorder for more than five years
- Carer must be over 18
- Loved one must be 18+
- Not and ARFID diagnosis or ARFID symptoms
- Eating disorder has been present for more than five years
Description
Harnessing Hope is an online carer skills workshop designed specifically for those supporting someone with an enduring eating disorder (excluding ARFID), that has been consistently present for five or more years. Delivered over five weeks by an experienced eating disorder clinician, you will learn more about the impact of long-term eating disorders, as well as the tools and skills needed to support your loved one’s recovery. You can attend Harnessing Hope if: Your loved one has had an eating disorder consistently for five years or more, your loved one is aged 18 or above, your loved one has a diagnosis of Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa and Binge Eating Disorder. There are five weekly sessions in total. Each session will last for two and a half hours.
