Who is this for?
- People whose mental health has been negatively impacted by pregnancy or early parenting-related difficulty
Description
PCCS provides practical and emotional help for pregnancy related issues through our material aid service (Baby Bank) and our free counselling service.
Baby Bank: We provide baby equipment and clothes (up to age 2) to families in financial difficulty. To access the baby bank, an initial referral must be completed by a healthcare professional. Families can then self-refer until the child is 2 years old. Our service is open to families in all their varied forms, including those who do not live under the same roof or when a child is living with extended family. If you require more than 1 of any item please let us know, we are not always able to oblige but we will do our best.
Counselling Service: We offer Fast Track and Long Term counselling sessions for people experiencing pregnancy related concerns, through a system of self-referral. The Fast Track service is for clients who are experiencing difficulties in a current pregnancy in their third trimester or who are making a decision about continuing a pregnancy for any reason. The Long Term Counselling consists of 10 sessions of confidential counselling. It is for men and women who might be struggling with any of the following (but not limited to)
- infertility
- pregnancy (planned or unplanned)
- miscarriage
- birth issues
- caring for a newborn
- parenthood in general
