Who is this for?

  • Women, all members of the trans community, non-binary people and young people aged 12 – 18 who have experienced any form of sexual violence at any time in their lives. This includes rape, sexual assault, sexual abuse, child sexual abuse and commercial sexual exploitation.

Edinburgh Rape Crisis Centre’s Edinburgh Adult Service, Advocacy and Student Support Project waiting lists are currently closed to new referrals.

If you have experienced a recent rape or sexual assault (within the last 14 days), we are still open to support survivors of recent incidents. Our other services remain open to new referrals. Please check our website for updates.

Edinburgh Rape Crisis Centre offers specialist trauma-informed support to women, all members of the trans community, non-binary people and young people aged 12 – 18 who have experienced any form of sexual violence at any time in their lives. This includes rape, sexual assault, sexual abuse, child sexual abuse and commercial sexual exploitation.

Edinburgh Rape Crisis Centre offers free and confidential information, advocacy and support.

Services include:

  • one-to-one support (face-to-face or online)
  • group support
  • crisis support if you have experienced sexual assault within the last 14 days
  • support for family, friends and partners
  • advocacy support for survivors who have decided to, or have already reported to the police
  • Student Survivors Project for university students of all ages and genders who have experienced sexual violence
  • SIA Project for survivors from black or minority ethnic (BME) backgrounds
  • STAR Project for all young people age 12 – 18 who have experienced any form of sexual violence
  • Outreach support in East and Midlothian
