Availability : North East / South East

Who is this for?

People aged 18 plus (no upper age limit) living in North and South-East Edinburgh, interested in learning filmmaking and making their own short film in their communities.

Description

Our new Community Filmmaking programme is free for people aged 18 plus (no upper age limit) living in North and South-East Edinburgh to learn filmmaking and make their own short film in their communities.

Running from March to June 2024, the programme will amplify the voices of local people in their communities by providing a platform to express themselves through short films, documentary, or fiction.

Participants will learn each stage of filmmaking through watching and discussing different types of films, and learning the key skills in camera, sound, directing, editing, and screenwriting, whilst being supported to use these skills to devise and produce a short film.

No previous film experience is required, just a desire to learn more about filmmaking.

Screen Education Edinburgh building, 30 Ferry Road Avenue, EH4 4BA. Sessions every Thursday evening, 5.30pm to 7.30pm, 21st March to 13th June, 2024.
