Availability : Edinburgh Wide

Who is this for?

  • For disabled people and those with long-term health conditions, and their carers and family

Description

LCiL’s Peer Support and Learning Team offer peer support groups and information sessions focused on social care (Self-directed Support) to disabled people, carers and those with long-term health conditions living in Edinburgh and the Lothians.

Our peer support groups provide a safe space to connect with others through shared experiences with the aim to strengthen knowledge, skills and confidence in all aspects of Self-Directed Support (SDS) and available social care options.

The sessions are welcoming, relaxed and informal. We focus on bringing people together to discuss the aspects of SDS that matter to them. We encourage mutual understanding and acceptance through the sharing of lived experiences.

You can find dates for both online and in-person sessions on LCiL’s Eventbrite page, and in-person sessions in their flyer under Downloads.
