16-25 yrs only who have speech, language and/or communication challenges.

Description

SLCo’s Edinburgh Chill Youth Club supports 16-25 year olds with lifelong speech, language and/or communication difficulties.

There is a specific focus on the young people/young adults building connections and friendships with each other as well as improving social confidence, resilience and self-esteem.

SLCo are aware that many young people feel isolated due to their communication difficulties and require support for developing independence and their social skills, therefore, they provide a trusted and safe space where they can enjoy a wide range of fun activities which have been driven by the young people’s input and interests.

Through the consultation with the young people SLCo hold specialist sessions/workshops as part of the Youth Club alongside their partners across the City.
