Carers Programme (The Eric Liddell Community)

Availability : Edinburgh Wide

Who is this for?

  • Unpaid carers

Description

The role of a carer can be isolating and stressful with 8 in 10 carers feeling lonely and isolated on a regular basis. Finding ways to cope with the demands of the role while getting important respite can help to extend the time that a carer can manage at home with their loved one.

Our Carers Programme offers meaningful support, educational and fun activities, wellbeing classes, event and talks for unpaid and informal carers. The Carers Programme offers unpaid carers the chance to meet and talk with other carers in a relaxed and informal setting. A full programme of outings, classes, events and talks are planned and updated quarterly.

The Carers Programme is part of the Carewell Partnership,  which is a joint initiative between several third sector providers to provide support for unpaid carers across Edinburgh, who often experience isolation and anxiety.
