Befriending for someone with an eating disorder (SupportED)

Who is this for?

Anyone over the age of 18 who is experiencing any eating disorder, no formal diagnosis is needed.

Description

SupportED’s befriending service is primarily over the phone, but can be adapted to individual needs. Befrienders are trained volunteers and many of them have their own lived experience of an eating disorder. The befriending service is a place for you to discuss difficulties or issues you are having and receive emotional support. Befriending is a safe and confidential place. The aim of the befriending service is to prevent and decrease feelings of isolation in people with eating disorders.
