Description
A free 5-week course which aims to support people in a peer support setting who are experiencing anxiety or excessive worry to manage their symptoms.
Anxiety is a feeling of worry or fear, often about things that have happened in the past or things that are expected to happen in the future. Whilst it is normal to feel anxious from time to time, sometimes anxiety can be longer term and can have a negative impact on your life.
This course will support you to learn about what anxiety is, and to practise helpful coping strategies to help manage it through a range of ‘bottom- up’ (body to mind) and ‘top-down’ (mind to body) approaches.
