Who is this for?
Self identifying women impacted by their own or someone else’s gambling.
Description
Aila’s Moving Living Room is a monthly in-person and online space for women impacted by their own, or someone else’s, gambling. Our groups offer support, connection and community, whatever the circumstances.
Aila is a website for women who experience harm from their own, or someone else’s gambling. It is a website that has been co-designed with a group of women who have lived and living experience. Aila has been designed for women at any point of their journey.
Aila is an online space where women can explore available support options, speak to someone who gets it via a live chat function, browse other women’s stories in the Lived and Living Library, gain a better understanding of gambling harm, and access useful tools to support their experience.
There is also a “for professionals” section on Aila that can be used for professionals supporting people who are experiencing harm from gambling. It is a space that enables easy referrals, provides advice, promotes relevant research, lists training opportunities and has a variety of resources that can be used by individuals, professionals and workplaces.
Aila has been created with the aim to raise awareness, reduce stigma and prevent people from experiencing harm from gambling. Aila is a partnership project created by Simon Community Scotland, RCA Trust, and a lived experience steering group.
