Active Travel in Edinburgh

Active travel refers to modes of transportation that involves physical activity, such walking, cycling and scootering. It is a sustainable and healthy alternative to motorised travel.

Choosing active travel to make everyday journeys, such as travelling to work; picking up shopping; doing the school run; or visiting a friend improves our health, quality of life and the environment.

We know that starting something new can be challenging, and getting active is no exception. On this page you’ll find some handy tips and resources to help you on your way.
