Help Shape Scotland’s Response to Alcohol Harm
17 July 2026

Alcohol Focus Scotland has launched the Alcohol Action Network – a new initiative bringing together people with lived and living experience of alcohol harm to help influence positive change across Scotland.
The network is looking for people who are passionate about making a difference and want to use their experiences to improve understanding of alcohol harm, influence policy, raise awareness, and support healthier communities.
As an Alcohol Action Network Advocate, you’ll have the opportunity to:
- Be part of a supportive national network within a respected organisation.
- Meet people with shared experiences and interests.
- Build confidence and develop new skills through training and ongoing support.
- Get involved in campaigns, events, media opportunities, and policy discussions.
- Help ensure lived and living experience shapes decisions that affect people and communities.
No previous advocacy or media experience is needed – just a willingness to learn and a passion for creating positive change.
If this sounds like something you’d be interested in, or you know someone who might be, applications are open until Sunday 3 August.
