Looking for free ways to enjoy the outdoors this summer? Edinburgh & Lothians Greenspace Trust (ELGT) has a fantastic programme of nature-based events taking place across Edinburgh throughout July and into August.

Whether you’d like to discover local wildlife, try Tai Chi in the park, get creative with woodland crafts, enjoy family-friendly festivals or join a welcoming cycling group, there’s something for everyone.

Nature Walk: Summer Trees and Stories

Friday 3 July | 2.00pm–3.30pm
Craigmillar Castle Park

Join us for a gentle guided walk exploring the trees, wildlife and stories that make Craigmillar Castle Park such a special place. Meet at the play area in the park.

Tai Chi in the Park

Take some time to slow down and enjoy the calming benefits of Tai Chi in a peaceful outdoor setting. These free sessions are suitable for all abilities.

North Edinburgh Women’s Cycling Group

Join our friendly women’s cycling group to build confidence, explore local routes and meet new people. Whether you’re returning to cycling or simply looking for company on two wheels, everyone is welcome.

Party by the Burn
