Community Ticketing Initiative returns for Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2026

The Edinburgh Festival Fringe’s Community Ticketing Initiative (CTI) is returning for 2026, giving people who may otherwise be unable to attend the festival the opportunity to enjoy Fringe performances.
Each year, hundreds of Fringe artists, venues and companies donate tickets to the initiative. For 2026, tickets are reserved for people living in Edinburgh and the Lothians who are at risk, vulnerable, marginalised, isolated or experiencing additional barriers to attending the Fringe.
Recipients can also use their tickets to bring a family member, friend, carer or support worker along to a performance.
The Community Ticketing Initiative is run by the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society in partnership with the City of Edinburgh Council and EVOC. Tickets are distributed through council social, family and youth workers, as well as local community organisations and charities.
Community organisations and charities that would like to take part in the initiative are invited to check the eligibility criteria for ticket recipients and register their interest by emailing communitytickets@edfringe.com.
