Carers Self-Advocacy sessions with Carers Scotland

Carers Scotland is providing Carers Self-Advocacy Zoom sessions for staff working in health services, social work and care services, third and independent sector.

Aims

Provide participants with an understanding of the role advocacy can play in supporting unpaid carers and the key building blocks of effective advocacy support. This training will help you support carers to:

  • Negotiate more effectively
  • Communicate more effectively
  • Deal with the emotions that can inhibit self-expression
  • Increase their independence and confidence

Cost

Voluntary sector – £50
Public sector – £55
Private sector – £60
Affiliate membership – A 10% discount is available to Carers Scotland affiliate Members
