Who is this for?

  • Young people aged between 12 and 21. The Junction’s main focus is Leith and North East Edinburgh, however our open access offers allow us to work with young people from any part of Edinburgh.

Description

Creative Express is the part of The Junction – Young People, Health & Wellbeing project that focuses on using creativity to support the health and wellbeing of young people. The service includes one-to-one support, groupwork and outreach.

Creative Express offers emotionally safe spaces where young people can explore their thoughts, feelings and ideas in relation to their own and others health and wellbeing. It does this through the use of various mediums for example poetry, painting, crafting, creative writing. The service also allows The Junction to explore various creative therapies such as Bibliotherapy, Art Therapy and Creative Writing for Therapeutic Purposes; whilst creating bespoke projects and programmes of support in response to young peoples needs and interests.
