Phonelink is a daily morning and evening telephone check call service for over 60’s funded by the Edinburgh Health and Social Care Partnership.
The service is available to anyone living in Edinburgh aged 60 or over who would benefit from a daily reassuring telephone call.
What the service can offer:
- Reduce loneliness
- Welfare/Safety Checks
- Medication Prompts
- Eating/Drinking Prompts
- Offer advice and signposting to other services available in your community
Many people who use the Phonelink service live alone and rarely get visitors or leave the house.
Our calls provide peace of mind and help tackle feelings of loneliness. We can ensure that no one is left alone for long periods of time.
In some cases our team may be the only people that people speak to regularly, the service gives individuals reassurance that someone is there for them and can make such a difference to their day.
