Mental Health, Migration and Rights For All: Workshop, Performance, Community with Thrive

Join Thrive for a day of solidarity, creativity and training, exploring how our mental health is affected by inequality and oppression where struggles, joys and collective power to make a change meet. Many people are emotionally affected by exploitation or traumatic experiences at work. It can be especially difficult for migrants to protect their rights at work due to precarity, lack of information or language barriers. People born in Scotland also experience these issues and it is important that we strengthening understanding and connection across cultures and make change together. This event is created by Community Wellbeing Collective Members affected and invited collaborators. Everyone has an opportunity to learn and to express themselves, drawing out the
wisdom of lived experience in the room.

A workshop on the effect of hostile environments on our mental health, led by Artist Kadea Santi.

A workshop and training session fostering solidarity between migrant and native workers, on our rights within the workplace, led by Carmen Simone from Support@work.

Creative open mic from 5pm – a space to voice stories, poetry or songs related to the theme.
