Thrive Edinburgh

Do you work in mental health services in Edinburgh?

Are you interested in helping us understand your experience of working with carers as equal partners in care?

Would you like to help inform improved carer involvement in mental health services?

If you answered yes to the questions above, VOCAL Edinburgh and Thrive Edinubrgh need your help to better understand carer involvement in mental health services in Edinburgh from a professional perspective.

They are interested in understanding from practitioners/clinicians the impact of involving carers as full and equal partners in care. VOCAL Edinburgh and Thrive Edinburgh want to know what you think has worked well in your own service and what might make it a better experience in the future. What you tell them will help our work to support and encourage carers and services to work together to improve or develop meaningful carer involvement.

The information you share with us at the focus group will be kept confidential. Anything you tell them will not be attributed to you personally, and names and specific references to people and places will be anonymised.

The focus groups will be run by Fiona Barrett, Carer Engagement Officer at VOCAL, supported by trained experienced carer volunteers.

What will you gain from the experience?

We hope that becoming a focus group participant on this project will be an interesting experience for you. You will have the opportunity to share your insights, experiences and ideas about developing carer involvement, as well as hearing experiences from other mental health professionals.
