Do you want to talk about research, quiz real-live scientists, and help make research on depression better?
Depression Detectives is a Facebook group where people who’ve had depression talk about research, with each other, and sometimes with scientists, and try to work out where the gaps are. What questions haven’t been asked? What should science be looking at next?
The group will then choose one question, and – working with scientists – design their own study to answer it. No science knowledge or research background needed. You can get involved as much or as little as you want. Drop-in sometimes for five minutes if that’s all you want to do.
This project is a partnership with Edinburgh Neuroscience, but the non-scientists are in the driving seat. The aim is to put lived experience at the heart of research.
